Lief and Leed Streets
Strengthen the Neighborhood Bond
Lief & Leed Streets are a special initiative in Aalsmeer. The goal is to bring neighbors closer together and build a strong community. In these streets, residents take care of each other with simple, kind gestures. Think of a card on a birthday or a bouquet of flowers when someone is ill. These actions not only make the neighborhood more pleasant but also help reduce loneliness.
You can also do something for others without officially setting up a Lief & Leed Street. For example, send a card to a neighbor who is going through a tough time or offer to do grocery shopping for someone who has difficulty getting around. Small gestures make a big difference.
