Education and work
Information about education and work for Ukrainian refugees.
This page provides information about education and work for Ukrainian refugees.
All students from 5 to 18 years of age must attend school. We will enforce compulsory education more strictly after the summer vacation, which will last from July 16 to August 28, 2022. On August 29, 2022, schools will start again.
Children from 4 to 6 years of age can apply to an elementary school in the area. All elementary schools in the municipality of Aalsmeer can be found on the website.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age can register at 'Taalsmeer' through firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students from 12 to 18 years of age have to register. This can be done at different schools, depending on the municipality in which you live in and how old your son / daughter is. The goal is to learn Dutch, together with English and math. On the website www.sgpantarhei.nl/oekraine you can find out which school is available for your child. Your child can take online classes from Ukraine and still come to school. We provide Ukrainian guidance. After these lessons, your child can follow the school's curriculum.
On August 24, 2022, the third and last information meeting will be held from 11 to am to 12.30 pm in Uilenstede 106, Amstelveen. After registration you will receive information right away about the program, after which your child may join.
The municipality of Aalsmeer is working on an activity program together with partners such as Participe, educational institutions, Team Sportservice, churches and many others. This program is intended for Ukrainian refugee children and young people staying in Aalsmeer.
