Information about education and work for Ukrainian refugees.
This page provides information about education and work for Ukrainian refugees.
Education
All students from 5 to 18 years of age must attend school.
Children from 4 to 6 years of age can apply to an elementary school in the area. All elementary schools in the municipality of Aalsmeer can be found on the website.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age can register at 'Taalsmeer' through info.taalsmeer@jl.nu.
Students from 12 to 18 years of age have to register. This can be done at different schools, depending on the municipality in which you live in and how old your son / daughter is. The goal is to learn Dutch, together with English and math. On the website www.sgpantarhei.nl/oekraine you can find out which school is available for your child. Your child can take online classes from Ukraine and still come to school. We provide Ukrainian guidance. After these lessons, your child can follow the school's curriculum.
Activities
Children can participate in regular activities offered in Aalsmeer via the activity overview from Noord Holland Actief.
In addition, incidental activities are offered by various organizations in Aalsmeer, such as The Beach, the Levend Evangelie Gemeente and Table Tennis Association in Uithoorn. Each provider organizes registration for this itself.
If you would like to initiate or organize an activity yourself and you would like some support, please send an email to oekraine@aalsmeer.nl.
Work
If you are looking for work, you can contact Werkreturn. Werkreturn helps people with a distance to the labor market to get back to work. Please send an email to Floris de Block at f.deblock@werkreturn.nl for an appointment.
