Moving or leaving
When you move to or within Aalsmeer, you need to report that you are moving. You should also report when you leave Aalsmeer to a foreign country. Both of these updates can be reported online.
When you move or you temporarily leave Aalsmeer or the Netherlands (for example for a trip) there are a few things you need to take into account. You can find out more about it on this page.
Temporary departures
If you are temporarily leaving Aalsmeer, you must let the municipality know. Please send an email to oekraine@aalsmeer.nl with your name, address and how long you will be out of Aalsmeer. You are allowed to leave for a maximum of 28 consecutive days while retaining your shelter facility. If you receive a living allowance and are away from Aalsmeer for longer than 28 days, the payment of the allowance will stop the following month. Once you are back you can apply for the living allowance again.
If you leave without reporting your absence, a bed will be released if you are absent for more than seven days without consulting with the municipality.
Final departure from the Netherlands or Aalsmeer
Is your departure from the Netherlands or Aalsmeer final? Depending on your situation there are the following options:
Your address within Aalsmeer is changing
Change (within five working days) your address on the page: change of home address (in Dutch).
You are moving to another place in the Netherlands.
Check the website of the municipality where you are moving to find out how you can change your address. You should do this within five working days.
Permanent or long-term departure from the Netherlands
If you are leaving the Netherlands you must deregister. You can deregister online (in Dutch) . Should you have any questions please send an email to mi@aalsmeer.nl.
Departure and living allowance
Do you receive a living allowance? If so, please report you are moving as soon as possible to sociaalloket@aalsmeer.nl. The municipality will then terminate the living allowance scheme as of the first day of the following month. If you do not report the change in time, you will have to pay back the living allowance.
